Francis was born in Uruguay and raised in Miami.

She graduated from New York University with a minor in Acting, and also graduated from the Maggie Flanigan Studio.

Her film credits include the leading role in the award winning film Arranged & supporting roles in Neal Cassady, and Breaking Upwards.

She played the title character in Lucia, which won Best Short Film in the 2006 Charlotte Film Festival.

Other credits include The ESPN mini-series The Bronx is Burning.
